Village Yoga is not a “studio,”
it’s a home for our community.

Though I never imagined I’d have my own studio, in 2018, I founded Village Yoga Pemberton. I am so glad I took that risk, and am deeply proud of the supportive, special place it has become. I love seeing people every day finding a home in our shared space through connection and movement. Running multiple businesses and raising a young family feels like a double black diamond some days. But every time I roll out my mat, I am reminded that it is truly a labour of love.

The importance of diversity and inclusion

I am deeply passionate about ensuring the studio is an inclusive, warm, and vibrant place for all people to take care of their minds and bodies. I often speak to people who tell me they feel too inflexible, injured, or old for yoga, and strive to find ways to make yoga more accessible to all bodies, ages, genders and incomes.

I offer a variety of class styles, providing free or donation-based classes, creating scholarship opportunities for teacher training, supporting and fundraising for community partners, and making our physical space available to various groups. I am always looking to share yoga as a tool for healing, strength, and unity for everyone who steps through our doors.
