I’m Raelene. My work moves fluidly between different realms: yoga, counseling, consulting, and motherhood. In each of these roles, I aim to foster well-being and build accessible, inclusive spaces for my community.

I believe that if we take care of ourselves and one another, we can live happier, healthier lives. I'm a lifelong learner and an enthusiastic student of life, always eager to say yes to opportunities that connect me with incredible people.

BACK STORY

I grew up in Alberta, a spirited teenager who ventured west at eighteen to play in the mountains and attend UBC. Spending a decade in East Vancouver, I worked in the xʷc̓ic̓əsəm Garden on Musqueam land, coordinating the Culturally Relevant Urban Wellness (CRUW) program. This initiative brought together Indigenous youth in the foster care system with Elders and knowledge keepers to learn about traditional plant medicine. The relationships and teachings I witnessed during this time changed my life. The many spirited young people I worked with were, and continue to be, my greatest teachers and inspiration for the work I do.

During those years, I had the privilege of guiding and attending many canoe journeys with youth across various territories, including spending two months under the midnight sun on the Deh Cho river. These experiences not only solidified my passion for the outdoors but also deepened my understanding of our interconnectedness with the land. I'm deeply grateful to the Indigenous peoples of this land who have expertly and tenderly cared for it since time immemorial.

Now, I call Pemberton home and am incredibly humbled to be a guest and visitor on the traditional and occupied Lil’wat territory. I wear many hats (and helmets); I have a full-time job at Foundry BC supporting rural youth mental health and wellness, I am a mother, an aspiring mountain biker, a friend, and have more work passions than I have time for. This website is an imperfect and living document to attempt to share with you my offerings and invite you to connect with me.
